All of you video people need to take a look at Rob Carter's, Metropolis. It's an abridged narrative history of the city of Charlotte, North Carolina. The animation work is amazing. It uses stop motion video animation to physically manipulate aerial images of the city, creating a landscape of constant motion. It starts around 1755 and presents viewers with the first house built in Charlotte and moves all the way to its towering banking hub in just minutes.
