My Twitter Account Has Been Attacked!
Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 8:34AM This You???: Is another phishing attack that has hit Twitter over the past couple of weeks. Somehow, it has hit my account! If you are attacked, please know this is a large-scale phishing attack that Twitter has been dealing with.
The attack spreads via messages with the text "This you???" followed by a link that sends you to a FAKE TWITTER login page. By taking a closer look at the URL address, you will notice it linking to "twitter.login.kevanshome.org/login/" followed by some random numbers and letters.
If you enter your username and password, you're not logging into Twitter, you're actually sending your credential information to the attackers.
If you clicked the link inside of the twitter message and entered your credentials, then you have fallen victim to this attack. Your next step should be to CHANGE YOUR TWITTER PASSWORD...IMMEDIATELY!! Check out the below video demonstration of the attack (it's only 59 seconds, but worth viewing), created by Sophos.
